A note from the founder

The whole reason this exists is a dog named Bocce.

By Jacob (Jake) Giebel · Minneapolis

I lost Bocce in March 2026. He was a good dog. The kind that sat next to you when you were having a bad day and didn't need anything in return except a hand on his head.

I'd been tinkering on this little site in the evenings for a while before that — generating goofy "spa portraits" of my friends' dogs as a joke. Towel on the head, cucumber on the eyes, the whole thing. I made one of Bocce. My mom hung it in her bathroom and made me make her three more.

That was the original product. There were no customers. Just my mom, sending the link to her friends.

Then he was gone, and the joke turned into the only good photo I had where he didn't look tired.

Here's the truth: I'm not trying to sell you a $13 file. What I'm selling is a small piece of artwork that, ten years from now, is going to be the thing on your wall that makes you smile when nothing else does. My mom has Bocce up between the sink and the toilet. She tells me it's the first thing she sees when she gets up.

The site is run by me and my mom. If you reply to any email we send you, my mom answers it. She's the customer support team. She's also the reason I built this — she's the one who taught me that a goofy picture of a dog you love is its own kind of memorial.

A few things to know:

Every portrait is generated from your photo — not a template, not a stock image. You upload, our AI does its thing, you get back a portrait that's recognizably your dog in a robe and towel.

It takes about 20 seconds. No login, no account, no waiting list anymore. Just upload and go.

The base file is $19.99. Read into the price what you want. We picked the number on a Tuesday.

Yes, this works for dogs that have passed. You'd be surprised how many people email us about that. We answer every one.

If your dog hates the bathroom, hang it somewhere else. The "bathroom" part is the joke. The real product is a dignified portrait of a creature who loves you unconditionally.

That's it. That's the whole story.

Thanks for reading. Give your dog a treat.

Jake (and Bocce, in spirit)
